We have had lots happening this week and more next week. Today we conducted a science experiment comparing the physical and chemical properties of copper and lead (graphite). We found that copper (further to the left on the periodic table) conducted both electricity and heat better than lead. We also discussed the maleability, color, and brittleness of the substances.
Science reviews can be found on your desk on Friday morning. This review will be due on Tuesday. I HIGHLY suggest you study the review- it is your key to success on the test. The test will have multiple choice, true/false, fill in the blank, short answer, and a few essay questions.
Remember to complete the Size of an Atom page, including the chart, circles, graph, and questions if you did not complete it in class. You will need a ruler and a compass to complete it.
Don't forget about math homework either- 6th graders need to complete Lessons 7-9 evens. 7th graders should complete Lessons 7-8 evens. 7th graders will be given time to work on lesson 9 on Tuesday. Be aware that your math test is scheduled for Thursday.
Have a great weekend and study hard!
